I write about contemporary art at thejealouscurator.com. I am inspired (and just a little bit jealous) of amazing contemporary artwork on a daily basis! To me, a home is just not a home until it has art on the walls... and on the shelf, and on your table, and so on, and so on.
Welcome to GALLERYONE!
This is a collection of new work by Portland based artist Lisa Golightly. In Lisa's words, a description of this series: "A lot of my work, especially these new paintings, focus on the changing and fading shapes of memory, particularly from childhood. When I think back to my best memories, most revolve around summer, specifically beaches and lakes. Those seem to be the setting for the majority of those quintessential family memories. These film still like moments and their fading and blurry quality are the images I am trying to capture."
